Paparazzi 'recklessly' chased Prince Harry and Meghan, says NYPD
Writer and broadcaster Esther Krakue has discussed new details revealed by the New York City Police Department surrounding Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's infamous Manhattan car chase.
On Wednesday, the NYPD released the full details surrounding the car chase that occurred in May last year after paparazzi allegedly trailed the couple at speed for two hours while they were leaving an awards ceremony.
In a statement from the police department, they confirmed an investigation found "reckless" behaviour by paparazzi when the couple left Ms. Foundation 2023 Women of Vision Awards last year.
"We found the following: reckless disregard of vehicle and traffic laws and persistently dangerous and unacceptable behaviour on the part of the paparazzi during the night in question," the police department said in a statement.
NYPD has upgraded its security protocol for Prince Harry and Meghan’s future visits.
