Emerging research about screen time impact on children may be ‘too late’ for a generation

Child and Adolescent Psychologist Clare Rowe says the research emerging about the effect of screen time on children may be available within another ten years but may be “too late” for a generation.

Mr Rowe joined Sky News host Rita Panahi to discuss the impact of screen time on young children and ADHD diagnoses.

“Beyond doubt there is research coming out and this is the thing, it’s completely emerging.

“So we’re going to know the answer to this in ten years’ time.

“But there is research coming out showing that kids who have excessive screen time compared to their peers are twice as likely to be diagnosed with ADHD.”
