Dutton: WA jobs ‘at risk’ with Labor’s Nature Positive Plan
Opposition Leader Peter Dutton says Western Australian revenue and jobs are “at risk” with Labor’s Nature Positive Plan.
It includes establishing an independent Environment Protection Agency, armed with the power to immediately halt any activity in breach of environmental law.
The Opposition Leader labelled the bill “anti-mining” and “anti-development”.
“This Nature Positive bill will be the death of mining,” Mr Dutton said during a media conference on Tuesday.
“No wonder people in WA are absolutely aghast at what Tanya Plibersek’s proposing.”
