Should You Buy a House In 2024? (UK House Price Crash 2024)

Is 2024 a good time to buy a house or is the UK house price CRASH going to get worse? Real UK House Prices are already down over 15% and we are slowly starting to see more realistic pricing from some sellers. However, all major house price indexes are predicting further falls this year so is 2024 really a good time to buy?

For many people buying a house is more than just a financial decision. Although it is vitally important to avoid the risk of negative equity, for many people other factors such as being able to move on with their lives will carry more weight.

It is also important to recognise that it will be almost impossible to time the bottom of the market perfectly. Even if you could time the market, it is extremely unlikely that your dream home will be for sale at that exact moment so you should expect to buy either before or after the bottom.
