NFT Bull Run!
Could the NFT bear market of early 2022 really be over already? Are we about to go on another insane NFT bull run? In this video, we'll look at the recent pickup in Opensea volume and discuss whether now is a good time to be buying or selling NFTs.
If you have been minting NFTS or buying and selling NFTs on Opensea over the past couple of weeks, there is a high chance you have lost money during the recent NFT bear market we have been experiencing.
In the last week, there has been an increase in the volume of the NFTS bought and sold on the Opensea marketplace, however, this could be a fakeout as there is an explainable reason for this increase.
A few days ago the $APE (Apecoin) token launched as a claimable airdrop for BAYC and MAYC NFT owners. There were approximately 10,000 $APE claimable by each holder (approximately $70,000-$100,000 for early flippers).
This led to an increase in volume as traders were buying and selling BAYC and MAYC NFTs so they could claim the airdrop. It also led to an increase in liquidity as people sold their $APE allocation and reinvested in other Bluechip NFTs.
Despite this increase in volume and liquidity, many small and new NFT projects are still struggling and there are no signs this has changed so I am not confident the NFT bull market is back.
What do you think, are we in a new NFT bull run? Or are NFTs going to crash again? Let us know in the comments below!
