Vision Problems (Luke 13:10-17)

Humans are often terrible at predicting the future because, obviously, we can't see into the future. But we humans also suffer from vision problems that cause us to misjudge change and newness. We tend to think that our understanding of the world is indeed the way the world operates and even how it should operate. And so things that don't fit easily into our worldview are labeled impractical, ill conceived, unworkable, etc. When Jesus first came, many, like the synagogue leader in these verses, couldn't see past their religious worldview. And I wonder if we don't struggle in much the same way.
