Do NOT miss this Thai spicy fried chicken in London’s Shoreditch
Thai fried chicken in London 🍗🇹🇭 Add this food spot to your London restaurants list! THIS is what spicy fried chicken should taste like and I’m gutted this is only around for a limited time! FINALLY, when the team say something is spicy, they actually mean it. This meal set my entire tongue, mouth and heart on fire - I couldn’t be more delighted.Thin, crispy batter with juicy chicken underneath and the skin is coated with spice. I LOVE that offal is served on the menu (we’re big fans of it). Never thought to have beef heart with dill and the chicken livers ABSORBED the chillis (it was a 7.5/10 heat level) with soft white cloves of garlic and tender monkfish. Chef’s kiss x100. Ooh ooh ooh, have the fried chicken skin to start and wash it down with a beer (I loved the Lost & Grounded Pale Ale whereas P LOVED the Passionfruit Sour).
This is a collaboration between Smoking Goat Bar and The Chicken Shop - expect heaps of garlic, heat and fire (yet beautifully balanced flavours) to coat your entire mouth. and it’s only running until the start of April. Please can this partnership live for longer? One of the best meals I’ve had in a while.
What we ordered:
- Fried chicken skin £4.50
- Fish sauce chilli wing £3.80
- Fried chicken (half) £18
- Fried egg rice noodle + lardo £9
- Nahm prik lemongrass £1.50
- Jaew tamarind & smoked chilli £1.50
- Nahm jim green chilli £1.50
- Hot sauce £1.50
- BBQ beef heart, coriander & peanut salad £12
- Khua kling monkfish & chicken liver £9
