T4 Razor Leaf/Triple Axel Steenee Solo Raid, Cloudy Weather, Mega Blaziken Only no relobby

Bounsweet is featured in Community Day May 2024. Steenee appeared as Tier 4 raid boss starts from 5pm.

Steenee would learn a new move - High Jump Kick while evolving into Tsareena. Unfortunately, Tsareena as a pure Grass-type Pokemon has no use to High Jump Kick in raid battles, where its stat is lacking behind from other Grass-type Pokemon in trainer battles.

Steenee, as a Grass-type Pokemon, is weak against Flying/Poison/Fire/Bug/Ice moves. As a raid boss, it has only 73 attack and 86 defense stats. How low is that? Remember Weepinbell, the community day raid boss last month? Weepinbell has 146 attack and 84 defense. Still cannot imagine how weak it is? Well, Rowlet, the Grass-type starter of Alola region, has a max CP of 1210 with Buddy Boost. Steenee, an evolved form, has only 866 max CP. Yes, even as a evolution form, it is weaker than unevolved Grass-type starters. So far, Wooper and Noibat are the only two community day raid bosses weaker than it.

With how weak Steenee is, there are a lot Pokemon capable to Solo Raid Steenee even without weather boost. For example, Pheromosa, Chandelure, Yveltal, Shadow Mamoswine and Mega Beedrill. Of course, any Bug/Fire/Flying/Ice/Poison type Pokemons stronger than them can also solo Steenee.

Steenee learns Razor Leaf/Charm as fast moves and Energy Ball/Triple Axel/Grass Knot/Draining Kiss as charged move. With this moveset, it is fully walled by Fire-type which resists all of them.

With Weepinbell being defeated as 1v1 Solo Raid, it shouldn't be surprised Steenee can be defeated in the same way. This time, Mega Blaziken is used against Razor Leaf/Triple Axel Steenee.

PokeBattler sim for this battle:

Speed: 150.5s
Dodges: 21
Difficulty(by PoGoRaid standard): WQ10 (range from 7-14)

Battle Result:

Speed: 150s
Dodges: 15
Efficiency Score: 98.4
My difficulty rating(based on execution): 3/10

Comment:

Originally Mega Rayquaza was used for this Solo Raid. However, with Triple Axel's 1.5s damage window and double effective against it, Mega Rayquaza is not consistent enough for the 1v1 Solo Raid.

Although Mega Blaziken also has a slow moveset, it can easily afford some Triple Axel misdodge as well as some server desync. Because of its comfortable TDO margin, speed was priortize over safety this time. Mega Blaziken would try to wait for Triple Axel dodges while charging up Blast Burn. However, if it takes too long, Mega Blaziken would just fire the charged move right away. It would also try to use Fire Spin as much as possible without caring too much on being hit by Triple Axel in move cooldown.

With speed being priortized, the execution score same speed as simulation result, despite the high difficulty of dodging efficiently under this matchup/

Pokémon used:
CP 4704 Mega Blaziken - Lv50 15/15/15 Fire Spin/Blast Burn
