Discharge/(Target) Wild Charge Gigantamax Pikachu Duo Battle, No WB, T3 helpers + Dynamax Cannon + 🍄

Gigantamax Pikachu has made its debut in Max Battle Day in Season: Memories to Motion.

Ever since Gigantamax Meowth Max Battle Day, the formula on Max Energy gain is changed such that damage now have 2x weight on Dynamax Legendary Battle and 15x weight on Gigantamax Battle. This means, with a high DPS charged move (high power, fast animation), it can now hit the boss fairly hard without slowing down the Max Meter charging process. While we have already using charged moves in Solo/Duo Battle lately, this changes helps us further as Max Mushroom would boost the damage enough to let it outspeed 0.5s fast move spamming.

Gigantamax Pikachu is an Electric-type Pokemon, which is only weak to Ground-type move. As demonstrated by Gigantamax Meowth, no one should be surprised that a starter like Gigantamax Pikachu is not exactly easy to be deal with. With preliminary analysis, we have found out that Gigantamax Pikachu has 1.7 CPM, and a HP value around 80000.

Same to all Gigantamax Battle Boss, Gigantamax Pikachu will use any moves it can learnt through Elite Charged TM. However, this only include its base form. Its special attack from different costumes will not be included. Specifically, Gigantamax Pikachu will use any of Discharge/Thunderbolt/Wild Charge/Surf/Thunder as LARGE ATTACK and target attack.

With its moves are all Electric-type and Water-type, it is fairly easy to decide which tank to use. Dynamax Excadrill is the best tank against Electric-type moves, while Dynamax Blissey or Dynamax Suicune would handle Surf well if you would like to cover it.

Since Gigantamax Pikachu is only weak to Ground-type moves, it also means Dynamax Excadrill is the only choice as attacker this time.

Basically, the best team is simply the mole bois, and optionally a Suicune or Egg if you want.

With 1.7 CPM, once again it is not possible to keep our team surviving through 2nd phase. Which means, first phase (before it got stronger) is all the time we have to beat Gigantamax Pikachu.

Turn out, with Max Mushroom and with either Sun weather or Dynamax Cannon Adventure Effect, Gigantamax Pikachu can be defeated as Duo Battle.

The main trick of this Duo Battle is to make sure we don't lose time on Dynamaxing. Since we would only need Dynamax Excadrill most of the time, having 2 of them in the team and switch between them during each Dynamaxing allows us to save extra time, by cancelling the "Dynamaxing in 4... 3..." as soon as possible. Other than that, since we are in a tight time limit, we avoid spending too much max moves resources on Max Guard. So we will only use 1 or 2 Max Guard during Dynamaxing to make sure we have Max Guard actives to lure target moves.

At last, the team has defeated Gigantamax Pikachu right after 2nd phase started, before the team inevitably wiped by stronger attacks.
