Some Comedians Fear Violence Onstage After Will Smith Slap
Some comedians are concerned that Will Smith smacking Chris Rock may trigger copycat violence targeting other comedians across the U.S. Comedian Steve Brown knows what it’s like when a routine infuriates an audience member. One man at his show “lost control” over his act during a show in South Carolina in 2018. Rock starts a new tour beginning Wednesday in Massachusetts. He has yet to comment on the attack at the Oscars, but many believe that when he does, he'll let his comedy do the talking.
