I was heading on a urban exploring road trip when I spotted this abandoned schoolhouse in the middle of nowhere so I had to stop and check it out. I wasn't sure what I would find inside. The last abandoned schoolhouse I was in someone used to live inside and everything was left behind. You can see that video here - https://youtu.be/5msRMga1BlY
Back in the day there was nothing but farmland and farmhouses in this area. Now there is no houses around just fields and forests. All the local children went to this 1 room schoolhouse. Back then teachers were expected to sing and play piano with the school children throughout the school day. The class size got smaller and smaller over the years so in the 1960's they turned the old schoolhouse into a small community centre for town gatherings. Years later the local people moved away and left this building never to use it again. Today it sits hidden in the middle of nowhere untouched by vandals.

My father took me to my first abandoned house when I was 7 years old. I remember going into the house and a old farmer came in and told us "we better watch out as the floors are all rotten and unsafe". Ever since that day I was hooked on exploring abandoned places.
