A day hike spent on the Helen Lake Trail in Banff National Park in the Canadian Rockies with some very cute and cheeky hoary marmots encounters.

The Helen Lake trailhead is located along the east side of the Icefield Parkway near Bow Lake, across from the Crowfoot Glacier Viewpoint. Vast meadows, pretty lakes, stunning scenery, and a choice of destinations such as Lake Katherine, the Dolomite Pass, or the Cirque Peak trails are the highlights of this popular hike to Helen Lake.
