My dog is chasing livestock

The replacement behavior should be a behavior that the dog is already very well trained for prior to training around livestock. Every time the dog thinks about chasing, we ask and reinforce the replacement behavior. Very soon the dog will perform the replacement behavior instead of chasing as soon as the situation arises.
