45212 powers through Warwickshire | 'The Stratford Flyer - 8th March 2025

We've had some lovely weather for a change lately. And speaking of change, The Railway Touring Company has had a change of LMS Black 5 for this years tour program.

45212 of the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway has been the mainstay of RTC operations so far this year, and on the 8th of March it was in charge of 'The Stratford Flyer' which this year originated from Manchester.

Again only being able to capture the tour in between activities, we see 57314 in charge of the ECS for the return run at Claverdon on the the single track line between Hatton and Stratford-Upon-Avon. After collecting passengers at Stratford, 45212 is seen climbing back up the North Warwicks line at Danzey Green en-route for Manchester.

The added bonus was being able to capture the 5 heading south to Southall the following day right on my doorstep. A very close shave with the northbound Holyhead service, but 5212 is seen passing Attleborough North Junction shortly before it ran a hot axle box at Rugby. Hope you enjoy!
