Alipura (Baramasi)
Alipura (titled Baramasi in the original Hindi) by novelist Gyan Chaturvedi, based in the village of Alipura in the Jhansi district, portrays the Dube family in the 1960s. It is the story of a widowed mother, her four sons, and her daughter, and their relentless zeal to pursue their dreams.

Gyan Chaturvedi is a Hindi-language writer and satirist known for his novels Baramasi and Narak Yatra. In 2015, he was honoured by the Government of India with the Padma Shri, the fourth-highest Indian civilian award.
