How to Have a Positive Relationship with Social Media

Do you have a negative relationship with social media? Are you starting to resent your hours of scrolling, liking, and commenting? In this video, I will share my thoughts and tips on developing a healthy relationship with social media.

Social media has become a core pillar of life as we know it, and it seems like it’s going to remain that way for a long, long time. Almost every single person, from 4th graders to 30 year olds, uses some form of social media. We are part of the generation who has used social media since a young age, and it has been a key to our development, for better or for worse. We understand the gray areas that exist within these apps, the good and bad sides. But just because we acknowledge them does not mean that we have mastered how to deal with social media. We have a self-responsibility to create a positive relationship with this part of our lives, but that process is harder than it may seem, at least it has been for me in my life. We can’t really go to adults for guidance, and so we have to seek out this vital knowledge on our own, that’s what this video is for. Within this discussion of social media, I will share my reflections on almost 10 years of being engaged with social media apps, as well as several tips for making sure that social media only plays a beneficial role in your life
