The Strategy of Eurasianism

Last time I posted on Japan's Grand Strategy, I had about 900 subscribers... now there are 12,000 of you + many other viewers and all I can say is: thank you - for watching and commenting, for putting up with the amateurish production values, for hearing me pontificate on issues that far more informed and powerful people have agonized over. Ultimate credit needs to go to the scholars/thinkers whose work I merely summarize and interpret.

There is much to discover and improve on and I hope you'll continue to get something (entertainment, information, derisive laughter) out of this channel...

This video looks at the strategic assumptions and processes of Eurasianism, synthesizing various ideas made over a 90-year period (which some scholars say aren't even the same ideas) to form a general strategic concept that may be driving Putinist Russia's policy.

Nothing here implies my endorsement of Eurasianism (or any other strategic concept).

All errors are my own.

SOURCES:
There aren't many translations of this stuff in English (infuriatingly, Amazon for some reason removed Dugin's Foundation of Geopolitics - a key text which I have only 'read' through Google Translate), so most of this is secondary literature. And most scholars *really dislike* Eurasianism!
