Acrylic plein air on Scotland's North East coast ✶ #shorts

A little peek at my first plein air session using acrylic markers! Longer process video to come soon.

My first impressions about this experience...
As many of you have seen, I recently purchased these markers and did a swatching video.

Well, painting outside presented new challenges, but I really enjoyed it! I used the acrylic markers on their own, with a palette knife, and with a brush, depending on what type of mark I needed.

The sun and wind helped the paint dry quickly which was perfect for layering. I also loved the fact that I was able to carry the painting home without worrying about smudging it (like with oils).

Definitely going to do this again!
