Len Thompson played for Collingwood from 1965 to 1978, appearing in 268 games and kicking 217 goals. This footage covers the 1970 season. Len Thompson is one of Collingwood's all time great players: Brownlow Medallist in 1972, Club Captain in 1978, five times Copeland Trophy winner and named in the ruck in their team of the century. Thompson is credited with revolutionising the position of ruck by being the first really big, mobile, skillful ruckman.
