Building a House: Construction Steps – Main Floor Framing, Installing Steel Beams, Joists & Backfill

We are building a house, and in this video we are installing the steel beams, laying out the floor joists, installing the subfloor plywood, framing the main floor, and backfilling the foundation.

Previously we started the construction process with the demolition, excavation, pouring & forming the concrete foundation walls, and waterproofing our basement. In this video we are continuing the on-site construction process for our new home build by framing the main floor structure and backfilling. These are the early steps of construction for our custom home and it’s so exciting to see how the main floor is built out for the new construction home we designed!
