Some people could care less about their neighbors and they let their dog bark bark bark, poop in your yard, pee on your plants and so forth. These people should not be allowed to own pets. But, they're all around us. They're as obnoxious as smokers were in times past, making us all breath their second hand smoke, without giving a holey crap about those around them. But, smokers learned that they were assholes and most of them have changed. Bad pet owners should learn that too.

I live in Sugar Land, Texas. Taxes are high here. It's my opinion that this part of Chimneystone subdivision is one of the noisiest places I've ever lived. My neighborhood is full of barking dogs. Four houses that border my house have noisy dogs. The people behind me have FOUR dogs. But the dog next door to me is a nightmare. Their house is less than 20 feet from my back door but they do not give a crap. Their patio is 15 feet from my back patio. These people have a loud barking dog. They just don't care. They truly don't. There are actual laws on the books, posted on the internet by this city, that are supposed to help me. The police and animal control will only pay courtesy calls (no help) and they will tell you that they cannot do anything. Yes, they will actually tell you that they cannot help you. City council is the same. These agencies just pointed me to the "red tape" system (court). In my opinion: It's a black hole like all "red tape" systems are. I was sent a letter by the city that explained the court system and it had a phone number that I could call for information. I called the phone number, the lady didn't know anything and took my number "I'll have someone call you back". No on called me back. Is that a surprise for city government? I mean really, is it a surprise? Government is a sloppy, lazy mess. It's a joke. I'm not sure, but it seems like I own a house in hell.

I love dogs, but some of the owners suck.
