AL SEEF Tour | Where Old Dubai Meets New Dubai

Al Seef is a shopping, dining, and entertainment destination located along the Dubai Creek. We started off our day in Al Seef by wandering around the alleyways and stopping into the shops. In the shops you can find dresses, souvenirs, jewelry, perfumes and much more. We also walked along the promenade and stopped for a bit to admire the boats along the Dubai Creek. If you want to cross from one side of the creek to the other, there are abras that you can board for 1 dirham. There are also dhow cruises that offer dinner and a show. These are also available along both sides of the Dubai Creek. As we continued walking along the 1.8km stretch of Al Seef, we stumbled upon the Heritage Souk and had fun looking at all the vintage items. Walking through this area of Al Seef really gives you a glimpse of what Dubai looked like in the past. Next to the Heritage Souk is Iceman. We stopped here for ice-cream and discovered sand coffee. Sand coffee is made by brewing the coffee in hot sand. After ice cream, the sun was starting to set, so the twinkle lights began to come on in the alleyways. The dhow boats along the creek also started turning on their colorful lights. We recommend visiting Al Seef during the day and at night because each has time of day has a different atmosphere. The next store that we enjoyed wandering around was Magic Rugs. Here they offer weaving classes for adults and children. They also sell olive soap from Syria. We'd be interested to go back for a weaving class in the future. We walked the entire length of the boardwalk and needed to rest our feet, so it was time to take a break for dinner. We chose Sul Fiume for dinner. It's a Lebanese-Italian restaurant that has an outdoor seating area that overlooks the Dubai Creek. The views were really nice and the shish tawook sandwich was delicious. After dinner, our feet were exhausted, so we decided to call it a day. There are plenty of things to do for everyone at Al Seef.
