'Portuguese Love' by Teena Marie was released in 1981 as the third single from her fourth studio album ‘It Must Be Magic’. Like the majority of the project, Teena Marie both wrote and produced the track. The song was a moderate hit reaching number 54 on the Black Singles chart but has since gone on to become a Quiet Storm classic.
