‘Starting Now’ by Brandy was released on May 21, 2021 as the theme song for the Disney Princess 2021 campaign ‘Ultimate Princess Celebration’. The song was written by Jordan Powers, Jason Mater & Darren Criss and produced by OAK Felder, Yaron Spiwak & The Orphanage. Lyrically, ‘Starting Now’ pays homage to many of the classic Disney Princess signature songs with the lyric video featuring the 12 official princesses together with queens Anna and Elsa as well as the ‘Rodgers & Hammerstein's Cinderella’, who Brandy herself previously portrayed and was the first black actress to do so on screen.
