Babybat Nights of the Year 2000: Gothic Time Machine, Part 1!

Including pictures, & even the time-capsule of my fossilised Netgoth profile! It's so bittersweet now, to see the Birmingham region Netgoth page; there are HUNDREDS of goth profiles, including my first love, and many of my friends to this day, captured forever looking so, so young. There are endless clubnights listed, pubs, shops, mailing lists - the scene was absolute buzzing, you never set foot in the city without tripping over several goths, you never crossed Pigeon Park without passing huge groups of gothed up skaters, we had an indoor shopping centre that was 100% goth/metal, from piercings and tattoos to velvet trenchcoats, bondage trousers, spiky collars, New Rocks, a hairdresser who would goth or punk you out, incense & Bauhaus hoodies & secondhand music...

In the next video, I'll focus more specifically on all of that - my first times venturing out into this amazing new world, from the sheltered misery of a small-town high school, an era before the internet gave our minds any freedom: people like me...they EXIST? I'm not alone?!! :O For now, here are the most startling differences, as a bi-millennial goth!
