3 Things That Are Weird in Italy (But Normal Everywhere Else!)

1. Tipping: In general, tipping isn't as big a part of the service industry as it is in other countries. While some bars may have a tip jar, it's never expected and is usually there for tourists who are used to tipping.

2. Middle names: If you fill out forms in Italy, you'll notice there's never a spot to write a middle name. That's because most Italians don't have one! If someone has a name like Pier Luigi Rossi, they're considered to have two first names.

3. Big breakfasts: In general, Italians eat rather light in the morning, with breakfast usually consisting of a pastry or some cereal and coffee. A large breakfast with eggs, bacon, and pancakes is unfathomable!
