Backpropagation (Part 3b): The Chain Rule (with Specific Application to the Transfer Function)
After re-acquainting ourselves with the chain rule from differential calculus (in the previous vid), we now apply the chain rule to various elements in the (partial) derivative of the summed squared error (SSE) with respect to a specific connection weight. This includes a detailed look at how we take the partial of the transfer function with respect to the node inputs into that function.
