Warm, creamy and comforting palak ragi soup - perfect for winter days 🌿
Made with sautéed spinach, a light ragi base and milk, finished with black pepper and a few drops of cream.
Simple ingredients, no fancy steps - just wholesome homemade comfort food.
Perfect when you want something healthy, filling and soothing in winter 🤍
🧺 INGREDIENTS
• 1 bunch palak (spinach)
• 1 small onion, chopped
• 2–3 garlic cloves
• 1 green chilli (optional)
• 1 tbsp olive oil
• 1 tsp ghee
• 2 tbsp ragi flour
• 1 cup milk (low fat)
• Salt to taste
• Black pepper
• Fresh cream (low fat few drops, for garnish)
👩🍳 STEPS
1. Heat olive oil in a pan.
Add onion, garlic and green chilli. Sauté till soft.
2. Add palak and sauté until wilted.
Switch off the flame and let it cool.
3. In another pan, heat ghee.
Add ragi flour and roast lightly on low flame.
4. Slowly add milk while whisking continuously to avoid lumps.
5. Blend the cooled palak mixture to a smooth paste.
6. Add the palak puree to the ragi mixture.
Season with salt and black pepper.
7. Let it simmer on medium flame for 5 minutes, stirring in between.
8. Pour into a bowl and finish with a few drops of fresh cream.
✨ Your healthy winter comfort palak soup is ready.
