DIY BMW WetHead Cam Chain Tensioner R1200/R1250

This is a DIY Tool to check Cam Timing on R1200/1250 WetHead motorcycles.
*****UPDATE 12/20*****
The donor RH Cam Chain Tensioner comes from BMW R series engines as far back as 1992. The part number/list is below, but make sure you don't use the LH cam chain tensioner…it's completely different and cannot be used.

**10/2019** Completed another Cam Timing check as well as Valve Clearance check at 67,000 miles.
Both the cam timing and valve clearances are unchanged from what they were at the 12,000 mile service using the OEM Cam Chain Tensioner as well as with this DIY tool.

**4/2021** Completed building 20 of these DIY Cam Chain Tensioners.
Refined the "Set-up" position of the M8x1.0mm Hex Bolt to be turned in against the spring so that the distance between the mating surface on the body of the tensioner and the domed end of the movable piston is 42.0mm.
This achieves consistent tensioning of the Cam Chain to exactly match the OEM Tool 83300444292
