Feathers and Frontiers: From the Earth to the Sky (Part 4 of 6)

As stewards of America's public lands, BLM manages for multiple use while conserving natural, historic, and cultural resources. This includes specially designated national conservation areas.

The Morley Nelson Snake River Birds of Prey National Conservation Area (NCA) is comprised of more than 480,000 ares of BLM-managed land in southwestern Idaho.

In addition to its cultural, scientific, and educational values, this NCA is home to the largest and densest population of nesting raptors in North America, if not the world. This video segment focuses on the many species of raptors who live and nest in
the NCA, including the migratory species and year-round residents who call
the area home. Biologists and raptor specialists introduce key species, including
golden eagles, burrowing owls, ferruginous hawks, and prairie falcons, as
they highlight these powerful and majestic birds as well as their prey.
