In this episode Joe & Brian had the privilege of connecting with and having a conversation with Todd Bowler. A former Australian Tactical Response Group Operator/Team Leader with 15yrs experience in the TRG. Todd has 23yrs combined Police experience consisting of general duties, close personal protection and undercover work prior to joining the TRG.

Todd is a Bloody Awesome Bloke and has an incredible sense of humour which is sure to put a smile on your dial!

During this conversation we delve into Todds journey and why he joined the Police force. He talks about his decision to join the TRG and what he learnt about himself and others through the process. He shares multiple experiences of funny incidents and events that occurred as part of actual jobs and/or training.

Todd speaks about characteristics and traits of successful TRG candidates and opens up about some of the difficulties he faced with his transition out of a very tight knit unit and into the real world. He also speaks about relationship challenges involved whilst serving within a unit like the TRG and provides some good advice and tips to help couples through.
