Selective Mutism & Autism

Have you heard of selective mutism before? It might be a bit different than you imagined. Also, there's debate about whether selective mutism can even be diagnosed alongside autism.

In this video, I explore research and information regarding what selective mutism is and clarify what it actually is versus what many may think upon first hearing the name. I share some of my own personal examples and experiences as well as help to interpret more confusing academic language into understandable, yet still accurate and detailed, language for the average person looking to understand more.
