Peugeot 408 2023 - Striking and modern design

The new PEUGEOT 408 is characterized by striking lines, particularly noticeable at the rear, at the roof end, on the trunk lid and at the base of the fenders, creating sharp facets that play with the light. The new model will be available in six colors: the two new colors Obsession Blue with dichroic effects (at no extra charge) and Titane Gray as well as the colors Artense Silver and Mother of Pearl White (each only for the Allure & Allure Pack equipment), Elixir Red and Pearl Nera Black.

The PEUGEOT 408 is 1.48 meters high and has a slim and elegant silhouette. Measuring 4.69 meters long, based on a long 2.79 meter wheelbase, the new PEUGEOT 408 features a spacious second row with 188mm of knee room. The trunk is also generous with a volume of 536 liters (petrol version) and 471 liters (hybrid version*) and can be increased to 1,611 liters (petrol version) and 1,545 liters (hybrid version) with the rear seat backs folded down.

Modern driver assistance systems

The new model from the lion brand offers the most modern generation of the PEUGEOT i-Cockpit®. The focus is on the quality of the interior and connectivity with the latest technologies to make the driving and travel experience even more intuitive.

The new PEUGEOT 408 will be available with a comprehensive range of 30 latest generation driving assistance systems (optional or standard depending on the version).

The digital instrument cluster has various individually configurable display modes such as navigation and radio. With the help of the blind spot assistant (standard from Allure Pack) and a reversing camera with 180° view of the surroundings (available as standard), 360° view of the surroundings (optional from Allure Pack) including rear parking aid, drivers get an additional overview. With the Active Safety Brake Plus with collision warning and automatic emergency braking, vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists are detected day and night, from 7 km/h and up to 140 km/h (standard for hybrid versions, standard for combustion engine versions from Allure Pack) . The active lane keeping assistant (optional from Allure Pack, standard from GT) with steering intervention ensures additional safety while driving.
The motors
The engine range of the new PEUGEOT 408 includes two plug-in hybrid versions and a combustion engine*.
All engines are available with an eight-speed EAT8 automatic transmission. A fully electric version will follow a few months later.

The new PEUGEOT 408 is now available with a plug-in hybrid engine:

HYBRID 225 e-EAT8*: Two-wheel drive / combination of a 132 kW (180 hp) PureTech engine and an 81 kW electric motor, coupled with the e-EAT8 eight-speed automatic transmission

The following plug-in hybrid variant will also be available from the beginning of 2023:

HYBRID 180 e-EAT8*: Two-wheel drive / combination of a 110 kW (150 hp) PureTech engine and an 81 kW electric motor, coupled with the e-EAT8 eight-speed automatic transmission

The lithium-ion battery of the two plug-in hybrid versions has a capacity of 12.4 kWh and an output of 102 kW. Two types of chargers are available: a standard 3.7 kW single-phase on-board charger and an optional 7.4 kW single-phase on-board charger.

An efficient combustion engine is also available: the 1.2 liter PureTech petrol engine* with 96 kW (131 hp), which meets the latest Euro 6d-ISC-FCM emissions regulations, is combined with the eight-speed EAT8 automatic transmission and an automatic STOP & START system.
