My name is John also known as Tripod,

My right leg was amputated above the knee when I was 15, and I have been on crutches for almost 30yrs. I always tried to tackle everything on my own, I try not to have my handicapped slow me down. I done pretty much everything, from interior and exterior home remodeling, engine swaps, fixing cars, and just good ole fashion tinkering! I love to make things, and share my ideas. I really hope with this channel I can help others see that even if you have a disability, you can still make a difference! I am always open to ideas to bring as much content to this channel, and more importantly to make if fun, inspiring, and educational!
A little bit more about me

I am a two time cancer survivor, sarcoma and colon cancer

When I was 15, I had developed cancer in my right knee. This was an aggressive type of cancer called "Rhabdomyosarcoma". Since this form of cancer is so aggressive, the only means of treating the tumor was amputation above my right knee. I had 6 months of chemotherapy, and no radiotherapy.

Two days before my release from the hospital, after my amputation. My mother visited the doctor about a pain in her back, she was later diagnosed with cancer. My mother had cancer of the lymph nodes. Both of went through chemotherapy at the same time. However, she passed later that year.

Every person in my family that has passed away (minus my sister), has passed from cancer. This included my Mother, Father, Aunt, Grandparents, and most recently my brother. I found out I had colon cancer when my brother just passed away from stage 4 colon cancer 1 week prior.

I had genetic testing done, and found out that I have Lynch Syndrome also known as hereditary non-polyposis colorectal cancer (HNPCC), is a type of inherited cancer syndrome associated with a genetic predisposition to different cancer types. This means people with Lynch syndrome have a higher risk of certain types of cancer.

There now have been two occasions where a direct family member and myself has had cancer at the same time, and I survived. I am really starting to believe that there is something meant for me in this world because of these events. Maybe it is this channel, maybe it is something else. Whatever it is thank you for taking this journey with me!

I do have a full time job, married with kids, and a loyal dog named Bear. I will try to post 2 or 3 videos a week.
