The Phase Margin is a way of measuring the stability of the feedback amplifier. It shows how stable is the feedback amplifier.
The phase margin is the difference in phases at gain cross over frequency and phase cross over frequency.
Mathematically, Phase Margin = ∠ωgc + 180.
Higher phase margin indicates the better stability of the feedback amplifiers.
*Frequency Compensation in Feedback Amplifiers:*
The Phase Margin of the Feedback Amplifier can be improved using the Frequency Compensation, where the dominant pole in the frequency response plot of the Feedback Amplifier is shifted to the lower frequency.
