_What is Electrostatics?_
Electrostatics is the branch of electromagnetics that deals with electric charges at rest and the forces, fields, and potentials associated with them.
_Coulomb's Law_
The electrostatic Force between the two point charges Q1 and Q2 is directly proportional to the product of the Q1 and Q2 and it is inversely proportional to the square of the distance R between them.
Mathematically, the electrostatic force F between two charges can be given as
F = k Q1Q2 / R²
Unit - Newton (N)
_Electric Field Intensity_
Electric field intensity at a given point is defined as the force experienced per unit positive test charge placed at that point.
E = F / Qt, where, Qt is a test charge
Unit - N / C or V/m
