4 Lessons of Oldschool Carpentry

Pre-industrial carpentry faced several problems, namely high costs of material and general difficulty of getting the right lumber for the job. This video shows couple of ways oldschool carpenters dealt with the challenges they had to face.

The house was built between the years 1860 -1880, had some reconstruction work done in 1920s, but the roof structure had no major modifications.

Most of the old photos were taken in mountain villages of Slovakia.
