Take Better Portraits with Creative Poses
Regardless of your camera (Nikon D3400, D7500, D810, Canon T6i, Sony a6500, etc.), portrait photography can be challenging and/or awkward if you do not have a few ideas to pose your subject. I created a quick video to showcase a handful of poses that might be helpful. Ask your subject if they have any ideas as well ... this will involve them in the process which is always good. I like to plan ahead, be creative, and remain flexible!:).
