Making our lathe usable and boring the chuck jaws.
This video shows the used lathe a friend is letting us borrow. It is in rough shape but we made it usable with out sinking a lot of time or money into it. Here is a link to Sumitomo catalog http://sumicarbide.com/download_product/catalog/ The tougher grade inserts may be BN300 or 350 not BNC the difference is BNC is coated. Other brand inserts may work well too just make sure they can handle interrupted cuts.
