This solo guitar arrangement by Filipino virtuoso classical guitarist Monching Carpio was based on a popular song by National Artist Ryan Cayabyab. According to the composer, "Araw, Gabi. I wrote this for my wife Emmy on her last birthday as a single person before we got married. We recorded it and gave away 45s during our wedding." It was originally recorded by Nonoy Zuniga, but today Regine Velasquez's version breathe new life to the song and is now more popular than ever because of her.

It is a difficult arrangement to learn and to play. There are so many slight variations among the verses even though the typical listener may not notice them. There were so many passages and fingerings to work out but in the end, I'm happy to be able to play it.
