The title doesn’t translate well in English because Filipino words and idioms are just so poetic and full of meaning when put together. Nevertheless, the song is about one’s profession of love, equal only to the heavens, no matter the challenges. While this is only one of many compositions by the late great George Canseco, it is the signature song of Asia’s Queen of Song, Pilita Corales. I have heard her sing the song numerous times since the 1970s and to this day, it is still very popular in the Philippines. I had just been rushing through old scores trying to play them without too much practice or preparation. I also had to read the score while playing because I just didn’t have the energy to memorize and internalize it. I still hope I was able to convey the music’s message because I truly understand the song itself and it’s meaning. Thanks for taking the time to watch/listen.🙏🙏🙏🙏
