We still both hate cooking and avoid it as much as possible, but being au pairs certainly meant we had to figure it out. Edwina now makes a mean quiche:

Sure, you think you can cook - but can you read French recipes? Make sure you have your tablet, phone or laptop on hand so you can just scan in the recipe or look up words you need! Then, save these recipes in English so you can follow it next time.

For all you Americans, get used to Celsius! We cook cakes at around 180 C!
