How to Replace Spark Plugs - 3.2L V6 Acura TL/CL, Honda Accord/Odyssey
In today's video, we will be replacing the Spark Plugs in my 2002 Acura TL-S.
Three important things to note include:
- Tighten the spark plugs to their specified torque rating
- Do NOT use anti-seize on the threads
- Replace them using the OEM-specified spark plug at the service interval as specified in your owner's manual
Spark Plug Torque Specification - 13 ft.lbs
Ignition Coil 6mm Socket Bolt Torque Specification - 9 ft.lbs
Mileage Interval - every 105,000 miles
NGK Laser Platinum Spark Plug Part Number - Base Model: PZFR5F-11, Type-S: PZFR6E-11

I thought it would also be beneficial to mention that if you need to replace an ignition coil, you can buy them for $50 on rockauto or Amazon compared to $90 from Honda/Acura. 3:13 - Remove Intake Manifold Cover
3:41 - Remove Ignition Coil Socket Bolt with 6mm Allen Wrench
4:12 - Remove Electrical Connectors

4:58 - Remove Spark Plugs with 5/8" Deep Socket
6:16 - Install and Hand-tighten New Spark Plugs
7:25 - Torque Spark Plug to 13 ft.lbs
7:31 - Install Ignition Coils
7:38 - Torque Ignition Coil Bolts to 9 ft.lbs
7:58 - Reconnect Electrical Connectors
REAR SPARK PLUGS (same process as the fronts)
8:28 - Remove Ignition Coil Socket Bolt with 6mm Allen Wrench
9:50 - Remove Electrical Connectors
10:32 - Remove Ignition Coils
10:51 - Remove Spark Plugs with 5/8" Deep Socket
13:10 - Install and Hand-tighten New Spark Plugs
13:49 - Torque Spark Plug to 13 ft.lbs
14:36 - Install Ignition Coils
14:54 - Reconnect Electrical Connectors
15:23 - Torque Ignition Coil Bolts to 9 ft.lbs
15:49 - Install Intake Manifold Cover
16:16 - Conclusion
