Xe's Final Fantasy News - Final Fantasy XI

Square Enix has announced new congestion measures for Final Fantasy XI's Phoenix World.

Starting June 10, 2026:
• Character transfers to Phoenix will be suspended
• New character creation will be unavailable
• The Vana'diel Adventurer Recruitment Program will be suspended

Producer and Director Yoji Fujito said Phoenix has seen a major increase in new adventurers since late April, leading to overcrowding similar to what previously occurred on Asura, Bahamut, and Odin.

Phoenix will become the fourth FFXI World closed to new adventurers while Square Enix continues monitoring server populations and stability.
