Cake Pops Recipe 😋

Ingredients and instructions are down below.

Ingredients:
~ Cake ~
1) All-purpose flour 1.5 cups
2) Baking powder 1 tsp
3) Butter 1 stick
4) Sugar 1 cup
5) Eggs 4
6) Vanilla extract 1 tsp
7) Milk 1/4 cup

~ Pops ~
1) Buttercream Frosting 1/2 cup (Store bought)
2) Candy Melts candy 12 oz 1 bag
3) Cake pop sticks
4) Sprinkles
5) Lollipop stand or Styrofoam block for holding.
Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

2. Add 1.5 cups all-purpose flour, and 1 tsp baking powder in a bowl and mix well. Set aside.

3. In a stand mixture, beat 1 stick of butter and 1 cup sugar together until smooth.

4. Add 4 beaten eggs and beat until fluffy.

5. Add 1 tsp vanilla extract and beat well.

6. Gradually add flour mix, and 1/4 cup milk to the butter mixture and beat well

7. Grease a 13*9 inch cake pan with nonstick spray.

8. Pour the batter into the prepared pan.

9. Bake in a preheated oven for 35 to 40 minutes on a middle rack, or until a toothpick
inserted in the center comes out clean.

10. Remove the cake from oven.

11. Let the cake sit in the pan for 10 minutes before moving to a cooling rack.

12. Let the cake cool completely before using it.

13. Divide the cake in half and freeze one half for future use.

14. Using your hand, crush the cake into fine crumbs.

15. Gradually add 1/2 cup frosting, mixing with hands until well combined.

16. Roll a small handful into a ball and place it on a plate.

17. Repeat the same with the remaining mixture.

18. Refrigerate for 2 hours to set.

19. Melt Candy Melts according to package instructions.

20. Dip the tip of each lollipop stick into melted candy, then inserted into the center of the
cake ball about halfway through.

21. Repeat with all cake balls, then let cool again until set. About 10 minutes.

22. Dip cake pops, one at a time into the melted candy. Tap lightly to remove excess.

23. Immediately cover with sprinkles or topping of your choice. It will harden quickly.

24. Transfer to a lollipop stand or Styrofoam block.

25. Repeat with the remaining cake pops.

26. Coating will set within an hour, or refrigerate to speed up setting time.

27. Store cake pops in the refrigerator for up to a week.

Notes :
1) I always make the cake 1 day ahead of time. Cover and keep at room temperature.
2) For equal-sized cake pops use a cookie scoop to measure out each cake ball size.
3) A block of Styrofoam makes a really great holder to stick the cake pops in while they
are drying, and it's cheap.
