We take a walk down the Millennium Bridge which connects Bankside to the south to the City of London to the north. The bridge was opened in the year 2000 and lines up directly with St Paul's Cathedral. The original St Paul's was destroyed in the Fire of London of 1666 and a replacement was designed by Sir Christopher Wren, which is the current building as it stands today. It has been host to a number of significant events, perhaps most notably the royal wedding of Prince Charles and Lady Diana Spencer in 1981.
