Banbury North Signalbox - A guided tour of the working of the 'box.
This wonderful 1899 Great Western Signal Box was decommissioned in August and is due for demolition this month (October) but in the intervening period an estimated 3000 members of the public have been granted access to the box where demonstrations of how the box was worked have been given by the experienced signalmen who have worked the box over many years. Sadly today (2nd October) was the last day that public access was available. This film was made on 30th September by kind arrangement of Martin Creese of 30742 Charters.
