Locals in RN heartland Bourgogne-Franche-Comte react to Le Pen's election ban

.Le Pen and 24 others have been accused of misusing EU funds by hiring assistants who were paid by the European Parliament but worked on activities related to Le Pen’s party, Rassemblement National (RN).She strongly denied the charges and is expected to appeal.

The court ruled for an immediate ban from politics for five years - rather than pending any appeal - and sentenced Le Pen to four years in prison.
