Hi friends of fingerstyle guitar music,
this is my little arrangement of Santana´s "Love of my life" from the album Supernatural, released in 1999. In Interviews Carlos Santana said, the melody of this song is inspired from music his father was listening back then when he was a boy. The beautiful melody is borrowed from the 3rd movement of Johannes Brahms's “Symphony No. 3” (1883). Santana´s song is very close to Brahm´s main theme, just transferred to a funky shuffle beat by bass and drums.
