Back in the 1700's pineapples had a super lux history where only the rich could afford this sweet, exotic, delicious, and luxurious fruit.

Christopher Columbus brought the first couple of pineapples to royalty such as Louis XV, Catherine the Great, and Charles II.

After that the rest was history.
